Shin Splints
This is pain down the Tibia (shin bone), this can be a gradual onset or can be a sudden twinge of pain. Shin Splints develop in people with repetative exercises and over use such as running, football, hockey or gymnastics.
Shin Splints includes tenderness, aching or sharp pain along the front of your lower leg. This is usually worse whilst participating in activities. Wearing correct trainers whilst running/walking will help with this condition.
Orthotics will help with shin splints to realign the lower limb, a course of physiotherapy with tissue massage or surgery may be considered to release the muscle if serious.
