Chilblains

Cold feet is a common occurance during the winter. Chilblains are small red, itchy swellings on the feet which can be very painful. They usually occur at extremities such as toes, fingers and nose.

Chilblains form from an abnormal response to cold when the skin is exposed to sub zero temperatures followed by too rapid warming for example next to a fire.
