Download Free FOOT PAIN GuideThe biomechanical assessment involves the Podiatrist looking at the way you walk from the head right down to your toes, generally focussing on the lower limb.
We also carry out weight bearing and non-weight bearing assessments. These are completely painless and will involve us moving your feet, and sometimes legs, through a range of movements to look at how your feet and legs are functioning in terms of movement.
If we are confident you will benefit from wearing orthotics, then we will cast your feet at the same time as your biomechanical assessment.

Walking had become very painful, I’d tried standard off-the-shelf orthotics recommended by another podiatrist, which only helped a little. Steve took casts of my feet, and also tailored the orthotics when they arrived. With some parts cut away and with additions stuck on they may look makeshift, but they work a treat, I’ve been walking pain-free.
