When pressure becomes excessive whilst walking, areas of the skin on the feet tend to become damaged. The skin cells create excessive skin production and thus thickening of the skin on the foot, known as callus or hard skin.
Callus generally occurs on the parts of the foot that are most susceptible to excessive pressures. These include: heel, toe joints and the ends of the toes.
Callus can be painful, itchy and uncomfortable. This can be treated easily, by removing the callus from the foot, leaving your feet feeling fresher.
